Transforming Sound
13. March – 6. April 2026
Ulrike Königshofer
On display in 2026.A light bulb, wired to the audio output of a record player, flickers in sync with the signals it receives. Another apparatus converts the waves on the surface of water into audible sound waves. Ulrike Königshofer’s works explore the emergence and translatability of information as it moves between different states, carriers, and sensory domains. Through carefully staged technical constellations, she reveals the limited bandwidth of human perception and questions the assumed interchangeability of sensory stimuli.
