Les Musiciens De Saint-Julien For ever Fortune

In the Baroque and Rococo ages the song-loving Scots combined musical forms and harmonies from European art music with their traditional music. An early form of “cross-over”. Dealings with happiness permeate these Scottish songs, which the French ensemble Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien have compiled into an exhilarating musical programme for the Klangraum. Round dances for a happy life, which once were transported from the island to France where they became vernacular country dances, follow songs about the temperamental nature of happiness.
