Moderated Concert

Works by Nava Hemyari and Peter Ablinger

Already for the second time, we present a cooperation project between the Music Salon of the Austrian National Library and the Imago Dei Festival. In tune with this year’s festival motto “Balance”, music will be performed by two composers, who were both commissioned by Imago Dei. In her new work, the Iranian-Austrian composer and singer, Nava Hemyari, addresses the theme of human rights and the “Ukrainian Sketches” by Polish composer Józef Koffler, who lived in Lviv until 1944. His “grand-student” Peter Ablinger, engages with jurist Hans Kelsen, the “architect of the Austrian Constitution”. The moderated concert traces the path of music history with references to law and the constitution. The evening will be moderated by festival director Nadja Kayali in preparation for the concert in Krems on March 25.

In cooperation with the Austrian National Library.
