ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE KREMS

In October 2000 the Province of Lower Austria established an Artist-In-Residence programme. In January 2006, the provincial government’s programme was integrated into the Kunstmeile Krems Betriebs GmbH as “AIR artist in residence Krems”. AIR’s general and long-term goal is an exchange of artists on an institutional level. Scholarships are awarded in order to enable foreign artists to work in Lower Austria and for local artists to be invited abroad under comparable conditions in return. As a project partner of AIR Krems the NÖ Festival-GesmbH chooses scholars from the field of music. Besides artistic qualities, the respective underlying concept and the possibility of mutual exchange are considered.
Applications are to be submitted to AIR artist in residence Krems by May 30 for the following year.
